Kotozuka, Eiichi , (1906-1979)

Eiichi Kotozuka was born in Osaka and studied at Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting. He made several series of flower prints and famous landmarks in the Kyoto area. Publishers were Unsodo and Uchida from Kyoto. In 1948 he was among the founders of Koryokusha company with Tomikichiro Tokuriki, Kamei Tobei and Takahashi Tasaburo. Koryokusha supported Sosaku Hanga prints with money earned by the Shin Hanga print activities of Tokuriki Tomikichiro.
