Kiyohara, Hitoshi (1896-1956)
Born in Ibaraki prefecture, Hitoshi used the art name Sei for his paintings and woodblock prints. He studied with Matsumoto Fuko from 1915 and then with Katayama Nanpu. He exhibited Japanese-style painting at Inten. In late 1940s his prints of kokeshi-like children were published by Kato Junji.
