“Gogh no Monmarutoru”. Based on Le Moulin de la Galette Terrace and Observation Deck at the Moulin de Blute-Fin, Montmartre (1886) by Vincent van Gogh. From the 1860s, ukiyo-e, became a source of inspiration for many European impressionist painters. They were affected by the lack of perspective and shadow, the flat areas of strong colors. The trend comes full circle as Okuyama is inspired to echo the works of post-Impressionist Vincent Van Gogh in a series of famous European paintings.
Slight foxing and printer smudges on the right margin. Creases on the margins to fit the print into a frame.
