Ukimido temple at Katata in lake Biwa. Surrealistic image of the bright moon casting pale rays to the water surface and misty sky. The print is no 42 in the Series Scenes of Sacred Places and Historic Landmarks. It is also part of the series Eight Views of Japan. Format is Oban yoko-e. Small void in upper left corner of margin. Printed on washi paper. Slight printer smudges in the lower margin. Some wrinkles in the paper on left margin.
