The print for spring depicts cherry blossoms at the Heian Shrine. Mounted in a 10″ x 14″mat.
The back of the mat for the print bears a pencil inscription indicating the set number and identifying the scene and the artist, as well as “SAMPLE” stamped in black ink. These prints were salesman’s samples acquired by a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Thomas Hood, who sold these prints in the eastern United States on behalf of Uchida.
