A woman with a child on her back walks by the main gate of the Gion shrine as a flock of pigeons forages on the ground in front of her. The Gion Shrine (now called Yasaka), is a Shinto shrine in the Gion District of Kyoto, Japan. Situated at the east end of Shij?-d?ri (Fourth Avenue), the shrine includes several buildings and gates.
Format is oban tate-e; print is toned; was framed and cut to fit frame so most of the top margin and bottom margin are gone; bottom of print has water stains that affect the image.
